This intensive program will enable you to advance businesses at the strategic, tactical, and operational levels by improving processes, products, and services through technology. You will become a robust and valuable professional who is confident in bridging the gap between business and technology through your development of exceptional communication, leader, problem-solving, planning, and critical thinking skills.

Gain a thorough understanding of how to perform elicitations, write specifications, create and use models, evaluate opportunities, analyze information, negotiate deals, provide quality assurance, and work through difficult situations.

As a graduate of our program, you will ask the right questions, get the right answers, and use appropriate analysis techniques to drill into the details to obtain meaningful insight. You will be confident in making recommendations, and when you communicate with stakeholders, you will not just get sign-offs; you will get buy-in.

Students graduating from this program will be familiar with the global standards for Business Analysis as defined by the IIBA© and BABOK®.

Program Highlights:
 
  • 1 year - 3 semesters (2 academic semesters and 1 semester of Work Integrated Learning).
  • Capstone project or placement in final semester (7-week placement or 7-week capstone course).
  • Flex learning model utilized throughout the entire program.
  • Focus on performing elicitations, writing specifications, creating and using models, evaluating opportunities, analyzing information, negotiating deals, providing quality assurance, and working through difficult situations.
  • Extra-curricular and additional credential opportunities to enhance your business analysis skills, portfolio, and resume.

Fieldwork/Placement:

Semester three will be a seven-week, work placement or capstone course to give you practical experience.

Part-time Pathway:

Students may choose a pathway to complete this program while studying part-time.

Admission Requirements:

Applicants must be graduates of a diploma, advanced diploma, or degree program from an Ontario College or equivalent.

OR

Applicant must possess five years of work experience in a related field (or combination of education and work experience) as judged by the College to be equivalent. Applicants must submit a resume detailing their related experience and a cover letter outlining their competencies and preparedness for the program (any and all postsecondary transcripts must still be submitted).
