Health and Safety for the Workplace (Certificate)
Description
Compliance with workplace health and safety standards has become more important than ever before. This program examines the fundamentals of occupational health and safety and addresses essential management practices in this area. This program is ideally suited to those who already have business experience and are interested in furthering their career in the health and safety sector.

Admission Requirements
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) including Grade 12 English (C or U) and Grade 11 Math (C, M or U) OR Grade 12 equivalency certificate achieved through College academic upgrading OR
- Mature Student Status (19 years of age or older) with Grade 12 English (C or U) and Grade 11 Math (C, M or U)
- You must maintain an overall average of 60% or a GPA of 2.0 in order to graduate
- A minimum of 25% of courses must be completed through Durham College
Note: When you have successfully completed all courses within the program of study and apply to graduate for this certificate, you must forward a copy of your valid Standard First Aid Certificate, Basic Rescuer CPR training level A, B or C to our office.
