Administrative Assistant

Description

This program provides students with relevant administrative and high-level technological skills to meet the demands of the current and emerging business environments.

This program is designed for:
  • People who have graduated from an Office Administration Program, or have several years of documented work experience in the secretarial field or office administration field
  • Individuals who are interested in entry-level supervisory or managerial office positions, as well as those who are currently in related positions and are seeking to improve their professional knowledge and skills in order to succeed in today's high technology offices
Administrative Assistants are valuable members of the management team. They assist in the policy-making, planning, and coordination of day-to-day activities of their department/division or company. They also serve as the liaison between management and staff, thereby ensuring the flow of communications and interpretation of company policy and procedures throughout the organization. Administrative Assistants are employed by municipal, provincial and federal government offices, business and industry, as well as accounting and legal firms.
