The Creative Learning Environment

In this course, students will examine the principles of creating indoor and outdoor learning environments. Students will examine the historical perspective of play and stages of play in detail. Students will demonstrate an understanding of how to foster children's joy of learning through child-centred and play-based pedagogy. Students will use child development coupled with children's emergent interests as a framework for planning and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum.
