Field Practicum IV
Description
In this course, students will be expected to be in placement for a six-week block in early learning setting. The student, under the advisement of a college faculty member, will choose and secure a placement which allows them to apply their growing skills. During this block placement, students will display proficiency in their ability to interact with children and their families with respect and in a manner that reflects appropriate developmental expectations. Students will be expected to take initiative in the planning and implementing of emergent curriculum. Leadership skills will also be practiced in the development of an integrated curriculum. Students are required to show evidence of current Standard First Aid training prior to Field Practicum lV commencement. Students must also be registered in the corresponding field seminar course which prepares them for this course.
