Community Employability Skills

In this course, students will learn about the competencies and skills that are required to obtain meaningful, competitive employment and to become an entrepreneur. In addition, the course will prepare students to support individuals living with disabilities to obtain meaningful, competitive employment and to explore becoming an entrepreneur. Students will also explore and learn about the legislation related to employment from the perspective of the employer and individuals living life with disabilities. Students will also have the opportunity to develop and complete a Professional Portfolio that will be utilized during field placements and for job market entry.
