3B1 - Boilers and Auxiliaries II
Description
In this course, students will study training material similar to that identified on the Technical Standards & Safety Authority (TSSA) Examination and Certification Guide at the 3th Class Power (Operating) Engineering level. Students will identify the different boiler classifications, boiler construction and the operation and maintenance of high pressure boilers. Students will explore boiler firing methods, boiler control systems, feedwater systems, pumps and pump theory, as well as, boiler fittings. Finally, the student will be able to describe the various welding procedures and plant inspections used in the field.
